Last night turned into one of those spontaneous adventures that remind you why Montreal’s nightlife scene is absolutely unbeatable.

Our evening kicked off at Joie de Livres, this amazing library café bar tucked away in Mile End that had me grinning from ear to ear. I mean, seriously – books AND alcohol in the same place? It’s like someone read my mind and decided to create my personal paradise. There’s something magical about sipping a perfectly crafted cocktail while surrounded by bookshelves. Pure bibliophile bliss! I love this place, and will surely visit A LOT 😉

But the night was just getting started: we eventually made our way over to the MUTEK MTL scene in Quartier des Spectacles, where we caught Al Wootton‘s set. This UK artist absolutely delivered. I found myself completely lost in the music, and loved it.

The real test of a great night out? How you feel the next morning. And I’m happy to report that my muscles are only slightly protesting today, which means I’ve still got it! 😝 There’s something deeply satisfying about discovering you can still throw down on the dance floor and live to tell the tale.

Montreal, you never cease to amaze me with these perfect little moments of magic.
