Plot Twist: My 3-Week Break Became 3 Months
Seriously, what a summer ending and fall beginning in my life! At the beginning of June, I decided to take a break of a few weeks for my Links I’d share in private series, but what was supposed to be 2-3 weeks ended up lasting 3 months… Self-questioning, then lack of motivation, fatigue, job loss, then the job search, then losing one of my cats, then starting a new job that requires me to commute to the office… Pheeeeewwwww! I’m exhausted just reading myself! LOL
But yeah, on a better note, it’s going better these days. Working again in a job that is quite motivating and exciting; busy with the Hackfest coming in a week (gaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!); having put on standby my university classes (will start again after Hackfest); feeling the weather tiring my body down… It took me a while, but I managed to draft my latest post for my series with tons of new links and interesting findings I had in the last three months! I hope you all enjoy this 🙂
Now on with the Links I’d share in private part!

- 366 weird movies: if, like my friends, you love weird movies, you’ll love this website
- Minimum Viable Humans: As evil as you may think this is, AI isn’t driving these layoffs—it’s simply providing a new mechanism and narrative justification for long-standing corporate behaviors. The tech industry has always operated on boom-bust hiring cycles. We saw it after the dot-com bubble, after 2008, and we’re seeing it again following the pandemic hiring spree.
- The Runaway Tradwives of TikTok: the return of the pendulum is here: this tradwife fad is now seeing its runaways. Women are realizing what a prison it is for their life, and how some are trying to escape this patriarchical custom

- Ensloppification: i tend to this like this author, where AI is a huge slop that makes everything drab and shitty
- I’m not lazy. I’m just done performing.: ohhhhhh how I know this feeling too well! After my last burnout in 2023, I came to realize that it wasn’t worth runnnig around like crazy doing 1000 things
- An Obituary for Reading the Internet: When I miss the internet of the 2010s, it’s not just because I miss an internet less magnetized by Trump, although I certainly do miss that. I miss the internet that wanted to be read, not scrolled, and created tools accordingly.
- What half a decade of no phone notifications has taught me: I’ve deactivated all my notifications to my social medias apps for at least 5 years, and it’s been heaven! Right now, only my email and sms apps have notifications, the rest is pretty much on muted/deleted notifications.

- Digital gardens vs blogging: What’s the difference? Because yes, there is a difference in how you ‘cultivate’ your online presence on your website. And I love the metaphor of gardening.
- Sorry, You Don’t Get to Die on That “Vibe Coding” Hill: “People are vibe coding for the simple reason they are reaching for generative AI tools and they trust them to be useful to them in some way they can’t be useful to themselves. That’s it. That’s all it has ever been or will ever be.”
- This website is for humans
- Status, class, and the crisis of expertise: By celebrating “common sense” over expert authority, populism performs a dramatic status inversion. It gifts uneducated voters the power of knowledge and deflates those who look down on them.
- Systems are crumbling – but daily life continues. The dissonance is real: memorize this word: Hypernormalization.
