I completed a D.E.C. in Multimedia in 2005 at
Collège de Maisonneuve. After finishing CEGEP, I worked at a computer company before becoming an associate of my own communications and web agency. I am currently a freelance web design/web programmer and work on websites, and I am looking for a job as a web integrator in Montreal.
I am also a student at
Concordia University in B.A. History (Specialization 60 credits). My focus is on digital/public history, the Middle East (mostly Egypt and its surrounding countries), India (mostly northern India), and colonialism/decolonialism under the British Empire. I am also a tour guide, explaining the campuses history, the many academic programs and services, the student life and my own perspective as a student.
When I am not studying or working, I am either reading or on my laptop. I read almost everything, including sci-fi, fantasy, fiction, non-fiction and suspense novels. I love to draw, and I even plan to have my own graphic book/novel published one day (I am currently working on two projects). I enjoy walking around the city and am passionate about photography.
My goals
Why study multimedia and history? I was interested in these fields for a long time now. I love to create and conceptualize websites and multimedia projects (films, animation, 2D/3D...), but history is a childhood passion. My dream is to have one day my own historical graphic novel (presently started as a personal project); also, I would like to ceonceptualize and create historical online games, based on our past or inspired by it. Creating websites and participating to online educational projects (like Wikipedia and Wikiversity) also interest me.
People can read about my daily life and events, as well as some papers and research work done for school on my blog,
The Chronicles of SekhmetDesign.
