Famous Springfieldian to have a gay old time

Is it or isn’t it Homer? Only his hairdresser knows for sure.
But it is known that one of the regulars of “The Simpsons” will be outed this coming season.
“We have a show where, to raise money, Springfield legalizes gay marriage,” producer Al Jean told a gathering of several thousand at the annual Comic-Con International sci-fi convention in San Diego. “Homer becomes a minister by going on the Internet and filling out a form. A longtime character comes out of the closet, but I’m not saying who.”
Sycophantic Waylon Smithers has had a secret crush for years on his boss, evil nuclear entrepreneur Mr. Burns. The show’s producers wouldn’t tell the audience, though, if Smithers is the one to be revealed as a friend of Dorothy.
“It’s Homer!” jested Matt Groening, the show’s creator.
Groening said that a feature-film version of The Simpsons is still planned, but that he probably won’t begin production until the TV series, which will begin its 16th season, comes to an end.
Ray Romano, James Caan, Kim Cattrall and rapper 50 Cent will be among the celebrity stars to guest on the show next season, Comic-Con visitors were told.

Homer was gay for a while already. He had a short little thing with a guy voice by Scott Kids In The Hall Thomson.
